The tool fits down past the threads and then is expanded to the correct diameter using the knurled end knob, the resultant swarf and debris is brought up as the tool is wound out. The risk of cross-threading is eliminated because the tool starts from the good threads found at the socket base. A paired set covering common plug sizes, 12mm and 14mm with a 260mm long reach body to access deep-seated plugs.
